Fly to Livingstone (LVI) followed by ~25–30-min private road transfer to the lodge. Inter-camp light aircraft used when combining within Zambia/Zimbabwe.
Ask for the Nut House or Bird House for maximum romance and wide river aspect you can expect AC, in-room Wi-Fi, freestanding tub plus indoor (and often outdoor) shower, double vanities, a lounge corner and a deep private deck that works for dinners. The Tree House clings cliff-front for the most dramatic perch, honeymooners love the secluded Honeymoon House and families should target the Garden House (walled garden privacy) or the showpiece Dog House, which comes with its own boat, private game-drive vehicle, dedicated butler and expansive decks with a sunken bath and infinity plunge.
Dining is flexible and à la carte, served indoors or outdoors. You can request private meals on your deck, at The Lookout, on river islands, or on the floating sampan, where each course is delivered by canoe. Picnic lunches fit naturally into days at the Falls, and snacks, tea, and coffee are available throughout the day.
Soft-sided bag (15–20 kg if you’re linking by light aircraft elsewhere); light layers, river shoes for boating, a fleece/windbreaker for winter evenings, and spare fast SD/CFexpress cards
Pre-book the Sampan (river level & weather dependent). Definitely plan Livingstone Island / Devil’s Pool in mid-Aug–Dec when levels are usually right. You can also ask for a rhino-tracking walk in Mosi-oa-Tunya.
