Our Favorite Rooms

All tents share similar layout with a brass/copper bathtub with a generous indoor shower, double vanities, lounge corner, mosquito-netted bed, overhead/standing fans, minibar, in-room Wi-Fi and the camp’s complimentary pro camera kit with quality binoculars. The Family Suite adds a central lounge between two bedrooms and two bathrooms for easy flow with kids while keeping space to exhale on the verandah. For maximum privacy choose the Sambuk Suite: a secluded, two-bedroom residence with its own pool and firepit deck high in the canopy, plus the same polished finishes (brass tub, indoor showers, double vanities) and extra service touches.

Dining

Relais & Châteaux-level kitchen led on site (R&C lists Chef John Osogo) with flexible a-la-carte service, bush breakfasts are common on long drives, high tea and sundowners arrive in tiffins on the safari truck. Dinners lean modern-Kenyan comfort with creative alternatives and thoughtful vegetarian options.

Packing Tips

15-kg soft duffel; neutral layers for cool dawns; wide-brim hat; headlamp; spare SD cards/fast storage for the in-suite camera; a light fleece and a thin windbreaker for night drives.

Insider Tips

Plan your included Reserve day (make sure you stay 3-night stays) for migration windows. Ask the team to stage picnic breakfasts/lunches to linger with sightings and don’t miss their playful “safari-truck service” sundowners and high tea set-ups on the hood - Nyika’s food is a standout in the Mara trio. Professional camera equipment & high-quality binoculars for use in each suite.
