Classic and affordable Sabi Sand value lodge with serious Big-Five viewing on the unfenced Kruger boundary. The main lodge sits above a dry Manyeleti riverbed and waterhole, with two pools, a small gym and a friendly, owner-run team. Expect buffet breakfasts and lunches on the deck, boma dinners under stars, and relaxed service that feels more country house. It’s a great “first safari” price point without skimping on sightings.

Packing Tips

Neutral layers, light fleece for winter mornings, brimmed hat, polarised sunglasses, swimsuit for the pools, soft shoes for short bush walks, and a small dry bag for cameras on dusty drives.

Insider Tips

Ask for a boma table near the fire on clear nights to stay warm. Keen gym-goers should grab a mid-day session when vehicles are out and the gym is quiet.
