Pafuri Camp sits in the far north of Kruger National Park within the Makuleke Contractual Park, a remote and ecologically rich region along the Luvuvhu River. This area feels markedly different to the rest of Kruger, with fever tree forests, baobabs, and some of the best birding in Southern Africa. The camp itself is understated and immersive, focusing on exceptional guiding, walking safaris, and a deep connection to both landscape and local culture.

Our Favorite Rooms

River-facing tents offer the best experience, overlooking the Luvuvhu River and surrounding forest. Expect spacious canvas suites with en suite bathrooms, outdoor showers, private decks, and a classic safari feel with strong immersion in nature.

Dining

Dining is relaxed and seasonal, often enjoyed overlooking the river or in the boma. Expect fresh, well-executed safari cuisine with a focus on simplicity and setting rather than formality.

Packing Tips

Neutral safari clothing, a warm layer for early mornings, good walking shoes, and binoculars for exceptional birding.

Insider Tips

This is one of the few Kruger camps where walking is truly a highlight. Prioritise a guided walk, it completely changes how you experience the bush.
