Fly into Hoedspruit or Skukuza, followed by a 5–6 hour road transfer through Kruger, or charter flight to Pafuri Airstrip, followed by a short transfer to camp. Self-drive from Johannesburg takes approx. 7 hours to Pafuri Gate, then 45–60 minutes inside the park.
River-facing tents offer the best experience, overlooking the Luvuvhu River and surrounding forest. Expect spacious canvas suites with en suite bathrooms, outdoor showers, private decks, and a classic safari feel with strong immersion in nature.
Dining is relaxed and seasonal, often enjoyed overlooking the river or in the boma. Expect fresh, well-executed safari cuisine with a focus on simplicity and setting rather than formality.
Neutral safari clothing, a warm layer for early mornings, good walking shoes, and binoculars for exceptional birding.
This is one of the few Kruger camps where walking is truly a highlight. Prioritise a guided walk, it completely changes how you experience the bush.
