
Fly by light aircraft from Maun to Duba Plains Airstrip ~40 min flight time or from Kasane ~1h20 flight time. From airstrip to Duba Plains lodge it is ~5 minutes by 4×4 (water-levels may add a short boat). No self-drive access. At Great Plains Botswana camps, rates include the light-aircraft flights & airstrip transfers/inter-camp hops per routing with a min-stay of 2 nights rule apply.
All 5 guests suites share the same layout. For families or complete privacy, the Duba Plains Suite includes private guide/vehicle, butler and chef.
Chef-led, daily-changing menus served on deck, in the interactive kitchen or at private setups with thoughtful pairings from the cellar. Recent seasons feature Resident Executive Chef Herold (Great Plains “Food for Thought”) and a philosophy of refined bush cuisine - expect elegant fireside mains and indulgent camp classics (their festive Christmas pudding is a house tradition).
Neutral layers (cold dawns Jun–Aug), light rain shell (Nov–Mar), polarized sunglasses, wide-brim hat, swimsuit for your plunge pool, and a soft daypack for camera/binoculars, pro kit and binoculars are provided in-suite.
Plan at least 3 nights and ask your guide about historic lion–buffalo dynamics and current wild dog ranges. When floods are up, boat one way and game-drive back. Book a private heli flip in dry months for jaw-dropping aerials. Great Plains réserve properties provide an excellent camera set and binoculars per room to use during the stay. When travelling with kids, they can make use of the young explorers programme.
