A vintage-style, slow-safari camp set among ancient baobabs on the Chem Chem–Burunge wildlife area linking Tarangire and Lake Manyara. Six tents (including a family tent) look over the Burunge plains, and every stay runs with a private Chem Chem guide and private vehicle - so you set the pace for drives, walks and unhurried tusker time. Night drives are permitted in the WMA.

Our Favorite Rooms

All suites share a similar layout. Request an end tent for the quietest outlook across the plains. Families should book the Family Tent (two bedrooms/two bathrooms) for space and flow.

Dining

Refined, seasonal menus with deck dining, bush breakfasts and private setups under the baobabs, house wines/spirits are included, and dietary preferences are handled attentively. This is "unfussy" fine dining at its best. Expect Tanzanian touches alongside grilled meats and fresh salads. Private picnics are easily arranged.

Packing Tips

Neutral layers for cool dawns (Jun–Aug), light rain shell (Nov–Apr), wide-brim hat and polarized sunglasses, swimsuit for the pool, and a soft daypack for binoculars/camera.

Insider Tips

Plan a sunrise hill climb for corridor views, then a long bush brunch. Time one evening for the photography hides and another for the baobab lookout deck sundowners. Keep a flexible private-vehicle plan for spontaneous tusker time or a day into Tarangire National Park. There is also a bocce/pétanque court close to the main area.
