Fly to Victoria Falls Airport (VFA) on scheduled flights (including regional links from Johannesburg), then a road transfer of roughly 1.5 hours into the Zambezi National Park to camp.
Ten Bedouin-style tents dotted privately along the Zambezi, each with a lounge, en-suite bathroom, outdoor shower, mosquito-netted beds and a private viewing deck over the river. There are two room types: the Pool Suites, the pick, add a private splash pool on the deck, while the Deck Suites have the viewing deck without the pool.
All-inclusive dining in the lodge dining room with an open theatre kitchen, where in-house chefs fuse international cuisine with traditional Zimbabwean classics using fresh, locally sourced and seasonal ingredients, plus alfresco meals on the shaded river deck and drinks in the lounge and bar (local drinks included; international wines and MCCs billed separately).
Neutral safari clothing with warm layers, a jacket and beanie for cool winter morning drives and river outings (June–August), lighter clothing for the hot October build-up, closed walking shoes, a sun hat, sunscreen and binoculars, insect repellent and antimalarials, swimwear for the splash pool, a light waterproof for canoeing, and USD cash for extras.

Zambezi Sands sits within the 56,000-hectare Zambezi National Park, a protected wilderness split from Victoria Falls National Park in 1979, and Batoka Africa runs it with a strong responsible-tourism and community ethos, employing many staff from surrounding villages and running community-collaboration experiences, with a light-footprint tented build powered by a solar plant (backed by a generator).
