Fly into Lamu (Manda Airport), approx. 1.5 hr from Nairobi, followed by a short 10-minute boat transfer to the dhow.
The experience is entirely on deck rather than in traditional cabins. Expect beautifully prepared bedrolls with crisp white linen, set up under the open sky, creating one of the most memorable “rooms” in East Africa.
Fresh, simple, and centred around the ocean, with seafood and local produce prepared in an open-air galley and served on deck. Meals are relaxed and communal, often enjoyed with lantern light and the sound of the sea.
