Fly Arusha (ARK) to Kuro Airstrip ~25 min by light aircraft, then ~45–60 min by road to camp (track/sightings dependent). By road: ~4 h from Arusha and ~5 h from Kilimanjaro.
Pick an end-of-walkway tent facing the waterhole for the broadest wildlife stage—private deck seating, indoor bathroom with indoor & outdoor showers, and that easy canvas-and-timber mood for long siestas between drives.
Plated, seasonal menus in the dining pavilion or alfresco. Enjoy bush breakfasts, picnic lunches on full-day drives, and lantern-lit dinners by the waterhole are easily arranged.
Neutral layers, light fleece for cool mornings, scarf/buff for dust on night drives, closed shoes for walks, and a dry bag for cameras.
Book at least one night drive (by arrangement) and an all-day picnic to the park’s southern pans. When time allows, ask about a brief community visit linked to the camp’s beekeeping project. Please note that there are additinal park fees ($59) and tourismg levy ($12.72) per person.
Community beekeeping (Mwika village) incentivises native-flora protection and adds alternative income; operations emphasise low-impact builds and biodegradable products.
