For couples, a One-Bedroom Suite gives a calm lounge, shaded veranda and an en-suite with a soaking tub plus indoor & outdoor showers—easy, comfortable and close to the main deck. For two couples or a small family, the Two-Bedroom Eagle Suite adds privacy with both bedrooms en-suite and a shared lounge opening to a broad deck for early kid-suppers. Multi-gen groups should target the Three-Bedroom Suites for the extra bedroom count and open-plan living that flows straight to the pool/boma rhythm.
Full-board, family-style hospitality with braais and lantern-lit boma dinners. Picnic brunches on request and kids’ mealtimes can be brought forward. Kosher available by prior arrangement.
Soft bag for easy transfers, neutral layers, warm fleece and beanie for crisp winter dawns, swimsuit for the pool, headlamp and a light puffer for sleep-out nights.
Book the Stargazing Sleep-Out Deck (private dinner & secluded platform; ~ZAR 2,000 pppn). Ask to time one drive into late evening for nocturnal sightings. Families can request age-appropriate kids’ activities while older siblings are on drive.
Reserve fees and lodge jobs fund anti-poaching, road/water upkeep and community initiatives under Welgevonden’s conservation framework (limited vehicles, no self-drive).
