Singita Sweni Lodge sits quietly along the Sweni River within Singita’s private concession in Kruger National Park. Completely rebuilt in 2015, the lodge blends contemporary design with the surrounding riverine landscape, creating a softer and more intimate atmosphere than its sister lodge, Lebombo. Hidden beneath giant trees and overlooking a seasonal river frequented by wildlife, Sweni feels deeply connected to its environment while maintaining the high levels of comfort, cuisine, and guiding for which Singita is known.

Our Favorite Rooms

The suites furthest downstream offer the greatest sense of privacy and immersion in the riverine forest. The standard suites feature floor-to-ceiling glass, spacious decks, outdoor daybeds, and elegant contemporary interiors inspired by the textures and colours of the surrounding landscape. The two-bedroom Sweni Pool Suite is ideal for families or couples travelling together, offering a private pool, larger entertaining spaces, and additional exclusivity.

Dining

Dining is intimate and highly personalised, with menus shaped around seasonal ingredients and Singita’s renowned wine programme. Meals are served across a variety of settings, including river-facing decks, lantern-lit dining areas, and traditional boma evenings.
