Fly by light aircraft from Maun (MUB) to the airstrip serving the Khwai Private Reserve, followed by a short game-drive transfer to camp
Eight canvas tents set among the trees, understated but stylish, each with an en-suite bathroom with an indoor shower, hairdryers, battery charging and Wi-Fi, and views over the game-rich surrounds. Six are twin/double tents for couples and friends, and two are family tents, making Little Sable one of the more family-friendly Natural Selection camps.
Warm, home-style cooking served in a convivial, relaxed style in the mess tent or out in the bush, all meals and drinks included on an all-inclusive basis, with bush breakfasts and sundowners in lovely spots, an intimate, sociable feel suited to small groups and solo travellers alike.
Neutral safari layers with a warm jacket, beanie and gloves for cold winter dawn drives and mokoro outings (June–August), lighter clothing for the hot October build-up, closed shoes for walking safaris, a sun hat, sunscreen and binoculars, insect repellent and antimalarials, swimwear for the pool, a headtorch, camera gear, and a soft bag (~20 kg) for the light aircraft.
Little Sable sits in the Khwai Private Reserve, a small, exceptionally game-dense concession that’s brilliant for predators (wild dog, lion and leopard) and, being private, allows off-road driving and night drives you can’t do inside neighbouring Moremi. Time a visit for the flood (roughly May–September) to add mokoro and boat safaris to the drives. It’s one of the better-value Delta camps and genuinely family-friendly (children 6+)
Little Sable sits lightly within the 200,000-hectare Khwai Private Reserve, a privately protected buffer in the Greater Okavango ecosystem that keeps a vast, game-rich wilderness undisturbed. Through the Natural Selection Foundation, guests support the operator’s conservation and community initiatives across Botswana, and the camp runs on a low-impact model with careful resource use.
