Five Meru-style tents set on exclusive semi-permanent sites in the Savute corner of Chobe National Park, close to the channel and marsh where elephant herds and big prides of lion work the open grass, the mood is stripped-back and adventurous with hot bucket showers, fireside dinners and long game drives that work the marsh and sand-ridge pans from first light to last.

Dining

Pan-African, open-fire cooking with fresh baking and camp-oven roasts, hearty bush breakfasts after drive, relaxed salad-and-grill lunches and star-lit dinners around the fire, guest-favourite plates include pot-bread with chakalaka, slow-grilled meats and a sweet finish like malva pudding.

Packing Tips

Quick-dry layers for cool dawns and warm middays, a light windproof for open vehicles, closed shoes for sandy paths, a small headlamp and power bank, a soft duffel if linking by light aircraft.

Insider Tips

Stay 3 nights to work both the Savute Marsh and the channel - serious game driving, and if conditions line up, ask your guide to check the zebra-migration routes between November and May.
